The successful candidate will play a key role in the production process, ensuring CNC machinery is programmed, operated, and maintained to the highest standards while supporting operational efficiency and product quality.
The Role
* Setting, programming, and operating 3- and 5-axis CNC wood machines
* Producing high-quality door components in line with production schedules
* Working from production specifications and completing paperwork accurately
* Carrying out ongoing quality control checks throughout machining processes
* Preparing materials for machining including cutting, sanding, priming, and sorting components
* Identifying machining errors and clearly marking acceptable materials
* Supporting machine maintenance and minimising downtime where possible
* Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
* Reporting faults, quality concerns, or operational issues promptly
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience operating and programming 3- or 5-axis CNC machinery
* Experience within timber, woodworking, or manufacturing environments preferred
* Ability to work accurately from specifications and technical drawings
* Strong understanding of quality control and production processes
* Proactive approach to improving efficiency and reducing waste
* Forklift licence advantageous but not essential
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
