The salary advertised is for a full-time position (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time hours or sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly.
Hourly rate of pay: £18.70 - £20.91.
This is a 39-week sessional post, working during school term time plus in-service days.
Days and Hours of Work
* Monday - Thursday, 08:00-16:00
* Friday, 08:00-13:00
Start date: 11th August 2025.

Job Overview
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner to take the next step in their Early Years career. You will help build and lead a team at the new nursery for Craighall Primary School, supervising staff daily, delivering high-quality early years care, and working independently.

To work as part of and supervise a team of early learning and childcare practitioners, delivering a high-quality, child-centred service that supports children and families, enabling each child to reach their potential within a caring, safe, and welcoming environment.

Qualifications and Requirements
* Educated to HNC level in Early Education and Childcare or hold SNNB/HNC/SVQ3 qualifications in Childcare/Education or equivalent.
* Evidence of ongoing learning and knowledge of current practice and legislation in Early Learning and Childcare.
* Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is mandatory. If not already registered, registration must be completed within 3 months of employment.
* This role is considered regulated with vulnerable children and/or protected adults under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. PVG Scheme membership is required prior to employment.
* If you have lived or worked outside the UK for more than 3 months in the last 5 years, an overseas criminal record check is required.
