The South Wales Doctoral Training Programme in Clinical Psychology is seeking to appoint new staff members due to increased trainee numbers. We have up to 1.3 FTE hours available, with posts at agenda for change (A4C) grades 8a (£54,550-£61,412) or 8b (£63,149-£73,378), depending on experience. The positions are part-time at approximately 0.6 FTE, with some flexibility for fewer hours.
We are willing to assist a successful full-time candidate in finding additional clinical sessions within our collaborating NHS Health Boards.
The roles involve acting as an appraisal tutor (line-manager of trainee clinical psychologists) and providing research supervision, either as a primary or secondary supervisor. These positions may appeal to staff with research interests or those interested in supporting trainee development. Candidates must be HCPC registered practitioner psychologists from any specialism, with a particular interest in Older Adult Services. We are especially keen to attract candidates with a research portfolio, demonstrable research expertise, or supervisory experience. As the programme supports secondary accreditation, candidates with BABCP or AFT accreditation are preferred. For grade 8b, there is an expectation to lead specific administrative aspects of the programme, such as chairing subcommittees or leading programme delivery areas.
Proficiency in Welsh is desirable; both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged to apply.
