Avery Healthcare is one of the UK's largest providers of luxury elderly care homes, committed to creating meaningful experiences for both residents and team members. They are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Care Assistant to join their award-winning team in Sheffield.


Main duties of the job

As a Care Assistant, your focus will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. Responsibilities include assisting residents with personal hygiene, recognizing and escalating clinical risks, and acting courteously towards residents and their visitors.

Job responsibilities

* Package Description: Competitive salary, flexible shifts, and ongoing training and development.
* Shift Details: 7.00 to 14.30 and 14.30 to 22.00, with alternative weekends potentially covering night shifts.

About the role

Your role as Care Assistant involves delivering high standards of personal care and contributing to the care team to ensure residents' needs are met.


Other responsibilities include:

* Assisting residents with personal hygiene, promoting independence, dignity, and respect.
* Recognizing and escalating clinical risks such as weight loss, pressure sores, falls, and infections.
* Respectfully interacting with residents and visitors, maintaining their dignity and individuality.
* Practicing safe work systems across all tasks.


About you

We value caring, supportiveness, honesty, respect, and accountability. Experience is not required as we provide thorough induction and training. Our ideal candidate should:

* Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
* Show initiative and respect towards residents and colleagues.
* Work efficiently and follow instructions.
* Be adaptable and flexible to cover various responsibilities on short notice.

Qualifications

* No prior experience required; comprehensive induction and training provided. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively, demonstrate initiative and respect, work efficiently, and be flexible.
