Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA)
Position: Temp/Bank, Full or Part-Time in Leicester City
Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking to recruit an additional Emotional Literacy Support Assistant to support our expanding Pastoral teams in Leicester City.
The role involves working closely with the Pastoral team to support students' social, emotional, and mental health needs, enabling them to access learning. You will work with individuals and small groups on areas such as friendships, resilience, loss and bereavement, anger management, and stress. As a frontline member of the Pastoral team, you will need skills and resilience to support students facing difficulties in accessing learning and managing behaviour.
The successful candidate will be adept at using de-escalation techniques to maintain positive relationships.
