Band 3 Health Care Support Worker (HCSW)- Dietetics
Part time post (0.5wte, 18.5 hours) available within the Aberdeen City community dietetic team.
We are looking to recruit a dynamic and well-motivated Health Care Support Worker
(HCSW) with good communication and IT skills, a passion for working with people and an interest in food and nutrition.
You will be part of our small, friendly team of Dietitians working in the community and will support the dietitians in delivering care to adults in a variety of settings, including in their own home, care homes, residential care and out-patient clinic. You will also have an opportunity to be part of a new and exciting service development to support the dietitians in the roll out of a new model of dietetic prescribing for Oral Nutritional Supplements (ONS). We also provide training to others in the role of nutrition, rehabilitation and well-being, and part of your role will be in assisting in the delivery of training and education to others where appropriate
The service is already an employer of Dietetic HCSW and we have excellent systems in place for joint continuous professional development and peer support.
We participate in undergraduate student training 10 – 12 per year and our HCSW play an active part in helping students achieve their learning outcomes and providing high quality placements for our students.
For AHP posts within Grampian, there is a requirement to provide services flexibly to meet the needs of service users. This will include providing services over weekends and extended hours when necessary.
Must have access to a car and hold a full UK driving licence.
