We’re Hiring – Residential Support Workers (Children’s Services)

Social Care Recruitment is seeking compassionate, resilient and dedicated Residential Support Workers to support children and young people aged 11–17 with emotional and behavioural needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a real difference and who are looking to progress their career in children’s residential care — including completing their Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification.
Shift Patterns
*
Day shifts: 8:00am – 8:00pm
*
Night shifts: 8:00pm – 8:00am
*
Minimum commitment: 3 shifts per week
*
Opportunities to pick up additional shifts
Key Responsibilities
*
Provide consistent emotional, practical and behavioural support
*
Maintain a safe, nurturing and positive living environment
*
Promote independence through structured routines and life skills coaching
*
Build strong, trusting relationships with young people
*
Support individuals with challenging behaviours, trauma and complex needs
*
Take part in in-house and community-based activities
*
Work collaboratively as part of a child-focused, supportive team
*
Adhere to safeguarding principles and Children’s Home Regulations (Ofsted)
What We’re Looking For
*
Full-time availability (essential)
*
Minimum of 3 shifts per week (essential)
*
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
*
At least 6 months’ UK social care experience (children only)
*
A proactive, resilient and confident approach
*
A genuine passion for supporting and empowering young people
*
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (preferred – can be arranged)
*
Willingness to complete the Level 3 Residential Childcare course and all required training
Training & Progression
*
Excellent opportunity for candidates looking to complete their Level 3 Residential Course
*
Mandatory restraint training taking place on 17th & 18th – applicants must be available
*
Candidates who already hold current restraint training will have an advantage, as this allows for immediate shadow shifts
