Days can be flexible between 2.45pm-6.15pm.
Flexibility will be beneficial to cover other days 2.45pm-6.15pm as needed. We also have a breakfast club running from 7.15am-9am, cover for this as needed would be an advantage.
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and possess strong communication skills. This role is crucial in facilitating play activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development in a nurturing setting.
Duties
* Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity and teamwork.
* Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
* Maintain a clean and organised play area, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use.
* Support children's individual needs, including those with special requirements or additional support needs.
* Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team environment focused on the children's development.
* Keep accurate records of children's attendance and any incidents that may occur during play sessions.
Qualifications
* Minimum of Level 2 qualification would be preferred but not necessary as training is available for the right person.
* Paediatric First Aid
* Enhanced DBS (on update service)
* Food Safety Level 2
* Training will be provided where necessary to meet Ofsted requirements.
Person Specification
* Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
