Looking for a new opportunity? Following recent improvement work within our pharmacy services, we have identified the need for additional capacity in our dispensary. We are now seeking to recruit two enthusiastic and reliable Pharmacy Support Workers (PSWs) to join our team.
About the Role
The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (RIE) is a large teaching hospital with an established reputation for offering the best practice across a wide variety of specialist services. Our team consists of pharmacy technicians, trainee pharmacy technicians, and PSWs, all working together to ensure the safe provision of medicines across the site.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medicines under supervision of registered pharmacy staff.
2. Maintain accurate records and comply with legal and organisational standards.
3. Support stock management, including ordering, receiving, and storing medicines.
4. Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.

7. Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
8. Previous experience in healthcare or pharmacy is desirable but not essential full training provided.

About you
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
12. National 4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
13. A willingness to complete an SCQF Level 6 unit as part of your development.
14. A diligent, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
15. An eagerness to learn about clean room environments and aseptic procedures.
16. Prior experience within pharmacy services or stock management (beneficial but not essential).
