Responsibilities
- Determine product requirements and, where required, produce suitable drawings in response to customer enquiries
- Deliver increased sales and improved profitability through specification within the building products sector
- Develop new and existing customer relationships in order to maximise the full potential of all accounts within the territory
- Answer technical customer queries via e‑mail, telephone and face‑to‑face meetings
- Manage project administration, ensuring drawings, correspondence and other project related documents are filed and maintained
- Deliver customer quotations within required timelines and company expectations
- Be an influence and integral participant in the ways of working within the department to help maximise opportunities
- Weekly chase quotes via telephone & e‑mail and maintain relationships
- Keep up to date with changes in British standards/building regulations
- Monitor the stages of a project to keep costs in line with forecasts
- Set up new customer accounts and liaise with QS’s & Buyers to help settle account
Success Profile
- Strong organisational skills with capacity to be self‑directed
- High level computer user including MS Office package
- Continuous improvement mind‑set
- Excellent listening and questioning abilities
- Professional and proactive attitude with strong problem‑solving skills
- Positive and approachable manner
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent time management skills, high level of detail and ability to prioritise
- Proven CAD/quotation experience
