About the role My job as a member of the Group Control team is to deliver timely and accurate periodic and bi-annual financial reporting, and to ensure financial processes operate efficiently in compliance with agreed key controls. I have a strong technical accounting capability, and a passion for spotting and implementing process and system improvements. You will be responsible for Support the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely Group external financial reporting, in line with IFRS and Group accounting policies, including responsibility for key primary statements and components of the financial statements Act as the primary point of contact for an allocated Business Unit, liaising with Financial Controllers, reviewing periodic performance, and driving improvements in how results are presented and explained Support the delivery of periodic results, including presenting and analysing key areas to the Group Corporate Finance Director and Group Control Director Prepare and review accounting papers for key transactions, clearly explaining complex issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Engage with auditors on both routine and ad hoc matters, including preparing supporting documentation and accounting papers Deliver ad hoc projects to support continuous improvement of the Group’s external reporting processes Support and embed strong Internal Controls over Financial Reporting across all key processes You will need Strong understanding of control functions, end-to-end business reporting, and IFRS (with proven application in practice) Qualified Chartered Accountant (audit background or financial control experience in a complex, fast-paced environment) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to work autonomously and within teams, manage time effectively, and drive change while meeting tight deadlines What’s in it for you We’re all about the little helps.
