Academic Appointments – SEMH/SEN Teacher Role
We are working alongside a school in the Wakefield area that is seeking to appoint an SEMH/SEN Teacher for their new primary provision catering to KS2 pupils. A primary-trained teacher would be ideal due to the pupils' current academic needs.
Start date: September
The provision supports pupils with Social, Emotional & Mental Health difficulties (SEMH) in key stage 2. Experience working with children who have similar needs and present challenging behaviors is essential.
Experience with Team Teach or similar de-escalation techniques is beneficial but not essential. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and committed to making a positive impact on these children's lives and education.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working in a Pupil Referral Unit or with challenging behavior
* Experience with the primary curriculum
* Hold QTS or a relevant teaching qualification
* Two satisfactory references
* A valid DBS certificate subscribed to the update service, or willingness to obtain one
