A leading business is seeking an experienced Sourcing Buyer to join its growing procurement team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused procurement professional to take ownership of supplier strategy, category management, and supply chain performance within a highly technical environment.
You’ll play a key role in developing supplier relationships, driving cost-saving initiatives, improving supply chain resilience, and supporting long-term operational success.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement category strategies across assigned commodities
* Manage supplier performance, sourcing activity, and long-term agreements
* Drive cost reduction and supply chain improvement initiatives
* Build supplier resilience and support business continuity planning
* Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and operations teams
* Support supplier onboarding and capacity planning
* Ensure supplier compliance with quality, regulatory, and ESG standards
About You
* CIPS Level 4 qualified
* Proven procurement experience within manufacturing or engineering
* Experience developing sourcing or category strategies
* Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
* Able to read and understand technical drawings
* Excellent stakeholder communication skills
