Accessibility Consultant
We are seeking an Senior Accessibility Consultant who brings not only strong technical execution but also clear thought leadership, the ability to
synthesise information, and the confidence to drive accessibility strategy forward.
Key Responsibilities Execution + Leadership
Conduct end‑to‑end accessibility audits across mobile apps and web platforms.
Test on physical devices and provide clear, prioritised, actionable recommendations.
Proactively present findings — not just produce documents.
Synthesize complex accessibility issues into concise, strategic summaries for Senior stakeholders.
Own the accessibility workstream and remove load
Key Priorities
Mobile app accessibility testing
WCAG 2.2 AA compliance (55 success criteria)
Tooling recommendations (selection + implementation roadmap)
Regular, structured audits and reporting
PDF accessibility
Proactive consolidation of current fragmented accessibility work
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong demonstrable Experience conducting detailed audits for both mobile and web.
Deep, genuine understanding of WCAG 2.2 AA (must go beyond surface‑level knowledge).
Strong technical understanding of ARIA, semantic HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
Hands‑on Experience with assistive technologies (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack, ZoomText).
Proficiency with accessibility testing tools (Axe, CCA, Accessibility Insights, Siteimprove, etc.).
Ability to confidently explain failures and provide clear and feasible remediation guidance.
Skilled in simplifying complex findings and presenting structured, strategic insights.
Proven ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of deliverables.
Strong communication skills and the ability to relieve—not add to—team workload.
