We’re growing and looking for a Technical Service Engineer to join our expert team – someone with hands-on engineering experience, strong communication skills and a passion for solving technical challenges in the field.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
* Installing, commissioning and calibrating OGP multi-sensor measurement systems
* Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and software issues on customer sites
* Supporting our customers with training and application guidance
* Logging service calls, job reports and documentation accurately
* Working closely with the service coordinator and wider engineering team
* Representing OGP UK with professionalism, technical know-how and integrity
* Adhering to company procedures and customer-specific requirements
You’ll also be expected to:
* Manage your own workload and site visits efficiently
* Identify potential improvements in service delivery and customer experience
* Maintain company equipment and ensure tools are calibrated and safe to use
* Respect and protect customer data and confidentiality at all times
* Operate safely and responsibly in line with health, safety and environmental policies
* Support internal audits, inspections and team processes as required
What we’re looking for:
* A background in mechanical and/or electrical engineering
* Previous experience in service engineering, ideally in a customer-facing role
* Solid understanding of PC hardware and software installations
* A flexible approach to travel and working away from home when required
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Full UK driving licence essential
* A team player with excellent communication and organisation skills
You’ll be given authority to:
* Sign off completed work and provide calibration documentation
* Communicate directly with customers regarding issues and solutions
* Make service decisions independently, while escalating when necessary
* Highlight concerns or risks that could impact the business or customer
