The Role:
You will work under the guidance of the Deputy Manager to support and supervise a team of residential support workers to provide quality care to look after children. You will be able to lead, motivate and enhance the skills of your team and be able to model professionalism and leadership skills. The young people display complex social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties and associated challenging behaviours, and need guidance to develop their independence skills and ability to integrate into society. You will be confident and able to step in to the Deputy's shoes in their absence.
Purpose of post:
To assist the Deputy Manager in the management of the home, including the staff, undertaking supervision and provide face to face training. Contribute to the resources and fabric of the building, and the welfare of the children and young people, with the objective of achieving the highest standard of service delivery as measured by Ofsted against the National Minimum Standards.

Team Leader Criteria:
Diploma/ NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification - we do not accept Health and Social Care as equivalent for this role) (Required)
Must be aged 21 or over to apply (insurance purposes)
Ensuring effective leadership of the house and residential community when on duty, ensuring that it is organised, and managed in a manner that delivers the best possible child care.
Excellent knowledge of requirements of role and ability to lead others.
Knowledge of Ofsted.
To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of 6 months experience in children residential home; NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or Children and Young People Workforce (Required) and flexibility to support the home on an on-call rota basis.
