Thales UK is seeking a Product Safety Engineer to support the ongoing development of land, naval and air products and systems within the Optronics & Missile Electronics (OME) organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify concerns regarding product safety and report to the Safety Authority.
* Generate safety artefacts such as Safety & Environmental Management Plans, Hazard Logs, and Safety & Environmental Case Reports.
* Facilitate hazard and risk identification including functional failure analysis, FMEA, fault & event tree analysis.
* Develop product safety requirements and support Project Design Authorities in achieving compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and standards.
* Support the preparation of bid estimates and peer‑review of safety artefacts.
* Manage multiple safety programmes, scheduling and stakeholder interaction.
* Develop and deliver product safety training material.

Requirements
* Suitable qualifications and relevant engineering design/delivery experience.
* SC Clearance required; if not held, successful candidate will undergo, achieve and maintain SC Clearance.
* Evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment history will be requested.
