Our client, a top 50 Chartered Accountacy firm based in Watford, has a new position for a Finance Manager to join their team. Managing the Finance Department and reporting to the Partners, duties will include: -
* Manage the finance department on a day-to-day basis
* Supervising the finance team with 3 staff
* Producing timely and reliable monthly management information reports for the Finance Principal and the board of management, investigating variances against budgets and providing analysis of differences.
* Preparing annual budgets, half year and quarterly forecasts all with commentary on risks / opportunities.
* Ensuring that all financial targets are met.
* Supporting the Finance Principal and working together with multiple Principals and teams, as necessary, across the firm in order to deliver solutions.
* Support the Finance Principal to develop, document and maintain all necessary systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the firm.
* Carry out all necessary actions to ensure that the firm meets its financial and legal obligations.
* Ad hoc duties.
To be considered for this role candidates must have experience managing a small accounts department ideally within a Practice environment although this isn't essential.
