The Vacancy

Calisen Metering is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Smart Energy Trainer/Assessor to join our Training Academy team. In this pivotal role, you’ll deliver high-quality, engaging training and assessments that empower learners to thrive in the smart energy sector. You’ll play a key part in shaping the future of energy professionals, ensuring they gain the skills, knowledge, and behaviours required to achieve competence and certification.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver both theoretical and practical training sessions using a blended learning approach.
2. Conduct assessments and observations to evaluate learner competence against defined standards.
3. Provide constructive feedback and tailored support to aid learner progression.
4. Maintain accurate records of learner progress, assessments, and outcomes.
5. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, awarding body standards, and internal policies.
6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of training materials and delivery methods.
7. Support quality assurance processes, including audits and standardisation activities.
8. Attend team meetings, CPD sessions, and standardisation events.
9. Communicate effectively with learners, colleagues, and stakeholders to uphold professionalism and learner experience.
10. Keep technical knowledge and industry standards up to date through ongoing CPD.
11. Reflect on practice and seek opportunities for innovation in training delivery.
12. Support the wider Training Academy team in achieving strategic goals, KPIs, and maintaining quality assurance standards.

Essential Requirements

13. Level 2 Electrical Qualification (or equivalent) and or
14. Single / Dual Fuel (Power and Gas) Qualification or
15. Gas Qualification holding minimum CMA3 & MET1

20. Experience in delivering training and assessments within the energy or utilities sector. (Desirable)
