Job Description:
Your new company
You will be working for a well-known manufacturing business based in Burton. They are looking for a temporary Supply Chain Assistant to join and help manage the end-to-end supply chain function.
Your new role
The Supply Chain Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the correct ordering, transferring, and delivery of Make to Order lines from the factory and other suppliers to their distribution centre, as well as ensuring that customer orders are delivered on time and in full.
Key responsibilities include tracking Purchase Orders generated from the ERP system (Nav) and placing orders with suppliers in a timely manner, prioritising and rescheduling orders to meet demand, and monitoring and reallocating stock to maximise OTIF performance. While primarily working within the Supply Chain, the assistant will also support other teams during events such as stock takes or emergencies.
What you'll need to succeed
Strong organisational and time-management skills are essential to handle multiple tasks and prioritise orders efficiently.
Attention to detail is crucial for accurate tracking of purchase orders and stock allocations. Proficiency with ERP systems, particularly Nav, is required.
A good understanding of supply chain processes and logistics, along with the ability to collaborate with other teams during events such as stock takes or emergencies, is important.
What you'll get in return
This is a temporary role, initially up to 8 weeks, with potential extension. The pay rate is between £13-£15 per hour.
