About the Team.
An exciting role is available for a Marketing Executive covering maternity leave over a 12-month period. This is an opportunity to join one of the UK's leading online retailers within the Customer Planning Team.
About the role.
At The Very Group, we are all about our customers and you will play a pivotal role in delivering department store events onsite. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure the seamless execution of events that align with business objectives and customer needs. Your responsibilities will include planning and executing activity, analysing performance data, and identifying opportunities to optimise events for maximum impact. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering the best onsite journey. You will ensure that sites are fully optimised and effectively communicating exciting offers and promotions to potential and existing customers. Key responsibilities:
Working within a fast-paced team, you will support the Event Planning & Delivery Lead and affiliated stakeholders in:
Events
* Assist with planning and deliver specific events onsite, including Black Friday, Sale and Bank holiday promotions alongside support of Gifting (Valentine’s Day), Back to School and Christmas event delivery in line with trade, category and marketing objectives
* Working day to day cross functionally to ensure the event customer journey is optimised and to aligned priorities, react to trading conditions and deliver contingency during event activity
* Regularly communicating event requirements and any necessary amends to key stakeholders including Brand, Creative, Content and Onsite Optimisation teams in the form of written and face-to-face briefings
* Ensuring that all onsite event activity is implemented on time, to the brief and error free
* Liaising with Financial Service teams to ensure that our FS proposition is communicated accurately and effectively at appropriate points within the customer journey
* Communicating plans in relevant forums to ensure optimum support for size of activity across marketing channels
* Developing and delivering photographic briefs acting as the key point of contact between Category, Visual Merchandisers, Creative and Studio teams
* Reviewing, analysing and interpreting Content Square and Google Analytics data to recommend changes to improve future events
* Work with DCX teams to test and learn improvements to onsite customer journey
General
* Driving innovation by identifying new opportunities and resolving problems to maximise performance
* Deputising in both colleague and line manager absence
About you.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
* Demonstrable experience of working within a retail marketing/trading environment.
* Good knowledge of Excel.
* Experience of JIRA (Confluence), Google Analytics, Content Square & CMI.
* Ability to build relationships - working cross functionally and collaboratively & lead within peers.
* Desire to understand the customer.
* Problem solving/strategic thinking.
* Decision making skills.
* Ability to prioritise and manage workload.
* Negotiating skills.
* Ability to work at pace.
* A great attitude and who is willing to learn.
