We’re Hiring: Events & Customer Acquisition Executive.

Aquilo Recruitment is working in partnership with Ideal Heating, a market leader in the industry, to recruit an Events & Customer Acquisition Executive to join their growing marketing team. The role: You’ll play a key role in driving customer acquisition and brand engagement, taking ownership of events and contributing to the end‑to‑end customer journey. This is a varied, hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys responsibility, creativity, and autonomy.

Role Overview

The Events & Customer Acquisition Executive will play a key role in driving installer engagement, lead generation, and brand advocacy within the domestic gas boiler and business growth in the heat pump market. The role will focus on planning and delivering high‑impact events and targeted acquisition activities designed to attract, educate, and convert heating installers into long‑term customers. This is a hands‑on role combining event delivery, field engagement, and data‑driven customer acquisition, supporting both traditional gas boiler products and the growing heat pump portfolio.


Responsibilities

* Plan, coordinate, and deliver a calendar of installer‑focused events, including:
o Trade shows and exhibitions
o Installer roadshows and regional events
o Training centre open days and product launches
o Merchant and partner‑led events
* Act as a brand ambassador at events, confidently engaging with installers and promoting products, services, and training programmes.
* Work closely with internal teams (sales, training, product) to ensure events align with commercial and strategic objectives.
* Manage event logistics, including venues, suppliers, materials, budgets, and post‑event follow‑up.
* Develop and execute targeted installer acquisition campaigns, with a strong focus on:
o Domestic gas boiler installers
o Installers transitioning into or already installing heat pumps
* Capture, qualify, and nurture installer leads generated through events and campaigns.
* Work with CRM systems to ensure accurate tracking of leads, engagement and conversion.
* Collaborate with sales teams to support installer onboarding and follow‑up activity.
* Gather installer feedback and market intelligence from events and field activity, sharing insights with marketing, product, and sales teams.
* Monitor competitor activity at events and within the installer market.
* Support continuous improvement of event formats and acquisition strategies based on performance data and installer feedback.
* Track and report on KPIs including event attendance, lead volume, installer sign‑ups, and conversion rates.
* Evaluate ROI for events and acquisition activities and recommend improvements.


Skills & Experience

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence engaging trade audiences.
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Commercially aware with a results‑driven mindset.
* Comfortable working some out of hours.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
* Experience working with installers, merchants, or trade professionals.
* Familiarity with CRM systems and lead management.
* Understanding of the UK heating industry’s transition towards low‑carbon technologies.
