Teaching Personnel is delighted to be recruiting for an Assistant Head of Science on behalf of a thriving secondary school in South Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking Science department, playing a key role in shaping the future of science education.

Lead & Innovate – Support the Head of Science in delivering an outstanding science curriculum, fostering a love for the subject across all key stages.
Inspire & Educate – Engage students with creative, high-quality lessons that promote scientific curiosity and achievement.
Support & Develop – Mentor and guide fellow teachers, sharing best practices and championing professional growth.
Drive Excellence – Contribute to department strategy, curriculum planning, and student success through data-driven improvements.
What We’re Looking For:
A qualified science teacher with QTS and experience teaching at KS3 & KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Proven leadership experience or a strong desire to take on additional responsibility
A passion for science education and a commitment to raising student attainment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to support both students and staff
A proactive approach to innovation in teaching and learning
Enhanced DBS and on the update service
