We are seeking to recruit a Nursery Nurse to work within the Children and Families team in the Lochgilphead area.
The post is 29.6 hours worked over 4 days and is offered on a fixed-term basis for one year.
Responsibilities
* Provide Nursery Nurse support on child development and respond to individual and family needs in a variety of settings.
* Meet the physical, social and developmental health needs of children and parents as identified by individual family health plans.
Qualifications & Requirements
* SVQ3 in Health & Social Care, NNEB or HNC in Childcare and a minimum of 2 years experience in a childcare setting.
* Sound knowledge of child development.
* Good level of literacy & numeracy.
* Ability to undertake further formal study.
* Knowledge of GIRFEC.
* Good physical health and stamina, large and fine motor fitness and dexterity.
* IT skills: e‑mail, basic word processing, ability to search internet and intranet.
* Car driver essential for this post and car ownership advantageous.
* Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
