Corporate Tax Manager | Glasgow | up to £60,000 + Benefits
About the Role
Our client is a successful and fast-growing UK-wide mid-tier Accountancy practice seeking a qualified Corporate Tax Manager to join their growing team. This position will involve managing a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring timely submission of Corporate Tax Returns and Computations, and providing expert advice to clients on tax liabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring Corporate Tax Returns and Computations are accurately prepared and submitted to HM Revenue & Customs by the due dates.
* Advise clients on their tax liabilities and communicate due dates for payments.
* Ensure time limits for claims and elections are met.
* Identify opportunities to reduce clients\' tax liabilities and collaborate with Partners and Directors to implement these strategies.
* Oversee work in progress (WIP) on your client portfolio, ensuring timely billing and fee issuance upon completion of work.
* Effectively manage time to achieve good recovery rates on each job while ensuring accurate billing to clients.
* Meet with prospective clients to discuss their tax affairs and explore potential opportunities.
* Maintain technical knowledge and stay updated on changes in tax legislation that may affect clients.
* Review and ensure the technical accuracy of colleagues\' work.
* Actively participate in training and development to maintain and enhance technical expertise.
Education, Skills & Experience
* Qualified to CA/ ACCA / ATT / CTA or equivalent level.
* In-depth understanding of the UK tax system, including due dates for Corporate Tax Returns, Computations, and tax payments.
* Proactive in identifying legislative changes and understanding their impact on your client base.
* Strong technical skills with a focus on delivering solutions in line with the firm\'s technical standards.
* Ability to review and provide feedback on the work of colleagues for technical accuracy.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to advise and build relationships with clients.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently.
