Hays Education are looking for a finance officer to join our friendly and professional education team based in the Nelson/Colne area. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the setting's financial records, ensuringpliance with internal and external regulations and standards. This is a full time finance post with hours of approximately 8am - 4pm on an ongoing temporary basis starting in theing weeks.
Your new role
1. Preparing, processing and reconciling invoices, orders, payments and receipts
2. Producing and analysing financial reports and statements for the school leadership team andernors
3. Auditing accounts and ensuring accuracy andpleteness of data
4. Reconciling accounts
5. Supporting the finance manager with budget planning and monitoring
What you'll need to succeed
6. Experience of working in a finance or accounting role, preferably in an educational setting
7. Knowledge of financial systems and software, such as PS Financials, SIMS or FMS
8. Goodmunication skills and ability to work as part of a team
9. An enhanced DBS check on the update service would be ideal but not essential.
