Overview
We are seeking a proactive and physically fit individual to join our Belfast depot in a hybrid role that combines Class 2 HGV driving with warehouse operations. This position plays a key part in ensuring the smooth dispatch, receipt, and delivery of construction equipment for hire and sales, maintaining high standards of stock control, safety, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Driving & Delivery
* Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle to deliver construction equipment across Ireland.
* Load and off-load vehicles manually and using a forklift.
* Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and collections.
* Warehouse Operations
* Dispatch and receive goods, checking quantities, quality, and condition.
* Identify damages or unsafe equipment and report promptly.
* Clean and maintain products to ensure they are hire-ready.
* Prepare orders for dispatch and assist in maintaining sufficient stock levels.
* Keep warehouse and yard areas clean and organized to promote a safe working environment.
* General Duties
* Adhere to all Health & Safety standards and procedures.
* Support colleagues and contribute to meeting business objectives as required.
Requirements
Essential:
* Clean Class 2 HGV licence.
* Physically fit and able to handle heavy manual work outdoors in all weather.
* Strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Forklift licence.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of the construction industry.
* Previous experience in a warehouse role
* Previous experience in a driving role.
Schedule
* Monday–Thursday: 7:30am–4:30pm
* Friday: 7:30am–3:30pm
