Job Purpose
1. To monitor and inspect the condition of production equipment, the site facilities and carryout maintenance and repairs as necessary, to ensure safety and maximize uptime performance.
2. To devise planned preventative maintenance schedules and update accurately and on time.
3. Monitor line performance for operational efficiency, report to management OEE and devise improvements to existing processes.
4. Carryout Root cause analysis when a breakdown occurs and implements solutions to mitigate reoccurrence.
5. Assist with safety related issues on site including writing of risk assessments and safe operating procedures a key member of the site safety team.
6. Manage small projects when required.
7. Organise and supervise external contractors carrying out work on site, ensuring permits are issued and Vita / regulatory standards are always met.
8. Knowledge of process safety (Training can be given to the right candidate)
9. Ensure statutory records for equipment are maintained on time.
10. Create and keep updated maintenance work lists and proactively report to management.
11. Lead a small team of engineers by assigning daily workloads, ensuring completion deadlines.
12. Provide continuous coaching to develop each team members needs
