Overview
In this role you will be the personification of Diageo’s ambition: to become the world's best-performing, most-trusted consumer goods company and build category-leading partnerships with industry-leading outlets. We are looking for someone with a sophisticated sense of style who can present themselves and our products to reflect the luxury brand's image and values. You will focus on finding the right distribution and activation opportunities to create momentum and will build the right business-building relationships with other commercial teams to leverage route-to-consumer expertise and keep the customer experience at the heart of decision making.
Top Responsibilities
* Build the status, equity and rate of sale of our brands through delivery of brand objectives in key on-trade outlets.
* Own day-to-day customer relationships with effective negotiation, persuasion and conflict management/resolution.
* Accountable for P&L delivery of the portfolio within the customer remit and navigate ROI decisions with each customer to drive sustainable and profitable growth.
* Partner with the Diageo Luxury Marketing team and the Advocacy team to activate brands in outlets, drive talkability and availability.
* Deliver against distribution and execution targets on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
* Collaborate with a Luxury curation manager to support menu creation, activations and customer engagement; maintain strong organizational and communication skills to deliver standout results.
* Provide accurate forecasting and internal performance management with attention to detail; coordinate with RTM and supply teams to maintain brand visibility in outlets.
* Share insights on consumer trends with Diageo GB and ensure teams respond to evolving market needs.
Ideal Experiences / Qualifications / Capabilities
* 5+ years of commercial experience including on-trade/account management; experience managing multiple influential customers to build new brand opportunities.
* Experience with Luxury Brands and/or high-end accounts is preferable.
* Deep understanding of what matters to influential on-trade GB customers and ability to drive a clear and powerful commercial plan.
* Strong relationships with key influencers in on-trade and third-space arenas; up-to-date on ground activity.
* In-depth category knowledge across spirits and alcohol/non-alcoholic drinks; passion for premium and super-premium brands, customers and consumers.
* Advanced negotiation and customer relationship skills.
* Robust commercial understanding and P&L literacy; ability to derive insight from data and take ownership of performance.
* Experience building and activating luxury brands with central marketing teams; strong brand-building and decision-making across commercial and marketing levers.
* Ability to forge cross-functional relationships and engage with senior collaborators to deliver outcomes.
* Strong networking to manage multiple external customers and collaborate with internal partners to create value.
* Proactive, entrepreneurial mentality to grow existing customers and win new ones ahead of competition.
