Intermediate MEP Quantity Surveyor Location Central London Salary £50,000 to £70,000 depending on experience A market leading main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex Cat A fit out and refurbishment projects across London is seeking an Intermediate MEP Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. This requirement follows the recent award of several major new schemes, offering strong project continuity and progression. The business operates a flat and collaborative structure with experienced commercial leadership. You will report to a Commercial Director and work closely with Senior and Assistant Quantity Surveyors on site based projects, including a £25 million MEP Cat A fit out in Central London. Key Responsibilities • Assist with the preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts • Support MEP procurement activities, including obtaining subcontractor quotations and preparing tender documentation • Monitor project costs, update budgets, and maintain cost control reports • Review subcontractor payment applications and prepare recommendations for approval • Assist in managing variations, change control processes, and cost forecasts • Work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to resolve commercial queries • Support the preparation of risk and opportunity registers and cash flow forecasts • Assist with documentation for extension of time and loss and expense submissions Requirements • Two to five years’ experience in Quantity Surveying, ideally with exposure to MEP or building services projects • Working knowledge of NEC and or JCT contracts and commercial procedures • Ability to undertake take offs and prepare cost estimates from M and E drawings • Understanding of subcontractor procurement and contract administration • Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel • Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred but not essential This is a permanent opportunity offering excellent career development within an established Tier 1 supply chain environment.
