Key Responsibilities * Lead engineering projects from initial design and client collaboration through to fabrication, installation, and commissioning. * Interface with internal fabrication, welding, design, and site teams as well as external clients and subcontractors. * Ensure adherence to ISO 9001:2015, BS EN 1090, and relevant European and welding standards. * Draft and manage quality documentation, implement welding procedure specifications, control inspection/test plans, and maintain traceability records. * Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk assessments. Maintain rigorous control over scope, cost, and delivery timelines. * Provide expert input during design and fabrication, address technical challenges, and propose cost-effective, technically sound solutions. * Proactively suggest and implement enhancements to processes, standards, and customer service delivery. Qualifications & Experience * Degree in Engineering (mechanical, manufacturing, metallurgical or equivalent discipline). * Proven background in heavy engineering, ideally in one off/batch production environments. * Hands-on familiarity with welding standards and procedures (ARC, MIG, TIG) and European structural/encrypted norms. * Experience with quality management systems, ISO 9001, and technical documentation (e.g., WPS, inspection plans). * Solid track record in project management, delivering uniquely tailored (one-off) engineering solutions—not repetitive line items. * Excellent communication skills, both with technical teams and clients. * Strong structured problem-solving and organisational capability.
