Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a Year 2 classroom? We are currently recruiting passionate and committed TAs to support a range of primary schools across Bishop Auckland.
As a Year 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teaching and learning, helping children thrive in their final year of Key Stage 1 within a warm, engaging, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Year 2 class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and engaging learning activities.
* Provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups to help boost attainment and confidence.
* Assist with classroom set-up, organisation of resources, and positive behaviour management.
* Contribute to a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating learning atmosphere.
* Work collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff to promote pupil progress and wellbeing.
Requirements
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – essential.
* Experience supporting pupils in KS1, ideally in a Year 2 setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Full-time availability, Monday to Friday (8:30am–3:30pm).
* Access to your own vehicle and willingness to travel between schools if required.
* A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
