Sales Team Leader – Drive Performance & Develop Talent

We're working with a growing consumer-facing business in the financial services sector. Known for their strong internal culture and commitment to development, they’re looking to appoint an experienced Sales Team Leader to take ownership of a high-performing telesales function.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment. You’ll be responsible for motivating your team, identifying coaching opportunities, and driving both sales results and service standards.
Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of outbound sales agents, ensuring consistent delivery against KPIs
*
Use performance data to coach and develop individuals, supporting both underperformance and high-potential growth
*
Conduct regular 1:1s and monthly reviews with clear action plans and follow-ups
*
Recruit, onboard, and train new staff to integrate seamlessly into the team
*
Manage daily operations including absence, timekeeping, and service levels
*
Collaborate with senior management on performance insights, MI reporting, and strategic improvements
*
Ensure compliance with internal processes and FCA regulations
*
Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, customer journeys, and team efficiency
*
Promote a strong team culture focused on development, accountability, and continuous improvement
About You
*
Proven experience managing a successful telesales or contact centre team
*
Track record of driving performance through clear KPIs and coaching frameworks
*
Experience in an FCA-regulated environment is highly desirable
*
Confident using Excel, CRM platforms, and other sales performance tools
*
Strong interpersonal skills — able to lead by example, resolve conflict, and motivate a team
*
Commercially aware and comfortable working with performance data
*
Adaptable and solutions-focused in a changing, fast-paced environment
Working Pattern
*
Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 8:00pm (just one late shift per month)
*
Saturday: 9:00am – 5:00pm (one per month)
*
Sunday: 10:00am – 5:00pm (one per month)
*
37.5 hours per week
