Rosebank Care Home is a small friendly and home away from home residential care home. Rosebank strives to ensure that the residents live a full and meaningful life.
We are seeking a Laundry Assistant - we are happy to consider full time or part time hours but it must include alternate weekends.
Responsibilities:
· To provide laundry services within the care home in accordance with agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations and in line with accepted best practices.
· Liaise with care staff and service users in a polite and person-centred way.
· To ensure that residents' clothing is clean, appropriately laundered and returned to the right service user in a timely manner.
· Infection control systems are appropriately used.
· To ensure that the laundry requirements of the care home are managed appropriately and that there are always sufficient items available for use
· Ensure that there is sufficient and effective equipment to facilitate the laundering of all items
Skills:
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication skills to interact with residents and team members
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required
