Dun Aluinn is a design-led Exclusive Use Hotel / buy-out - sleeping up to 26 guests (13 bedrooms). Design and fine detailing are very much at our core and our USP, set in a stunning 22 acre estate to an elevated position, overlooking the lovely Highland town of Aberfeldy. We have a full housekeeping team (we do all the laundry in-house to the highest standards), Head Chef & team, Butler service and Guest Experience Manager who is responsible for creating unique, tailored experiences for our guests, very much grounded in the local Aberfeldy / Perthshire area. We have full bar license and an excellent selection of wines, whiskies, gins and cocktails. We will create totally unforgettable Highland Experiences for our guests in partnership with our local world-class partners.

Job Overview
We are currently seeking a highly organised and professional Butler with an eagle eye for detail to play an integral role in managing all aspects of the guest experience while guests are in residence at Dun Aluinn. This is a key role at Dun Aluinn and the success of this candidate has a direct impact on the overall success of the business, hence it is a key strategic hire for Dun Aluinn.
The Butler is a self-motivated and energetic member of our team. We require a hands on approach in supporting the wider team, willing to roll up the sleeves and get the hands dirty, when needed. The Butler is at ease building relationships with our guests, our wider team, together with our superb local partners.
Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:
* Working in partnership with Head of Housekeeping and their team to ensure the house is absolutely perfect prior to guests arrival and throughout their stay
* Welcoming guests on arrival and ensuring that all guests are settled in, perhaps with a G&T on the terrace or a wee dram beside the fire
* Partnering with our Head Chef, to deliver all catering requirements for our guests, from 6-course Tasting Menus, to BBQ's on the lawn
* Recommending wines, whiskies and cocktails from our menu
* Serving coffee & tea throughout the day and drinks in the evening time, as requested by our guests
* Working closely with our Guest Experience Manager, to co-ordinate the day to day itinerary for the guests, knowing instinctively when to be present and when to step back
* Building strong relationships with multiple stakeholders & partners across Aberfeldy is key; working together to create incredible guests journey of the highest possible standard
* You will spend time exploring what Aberfeldy and Perthshire has to offer, and offer personal and fascinating information on all aspects of the property and surrounding area. We want you to know where the best spot for wild swimming on Loch Tay is? What time of the year is the best time to climb Schiehallion? Where the best cappuccino in Aberfeldy is? What single matt whisky would you recommend?
* You will make sure we maximise revenue by upselling any of our Highland Experiences and play a key role in ensuring our guests enjoy a unique experience; you'll make the appropriate reservations and ensure all details are finalised and all partners are paid on time
* Maintaining guest confidentiality and security at all times. Acting with the highest level of integrity and honesty at all times
* Your interaction with our guests is, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us 5 stars in every way possible

* Formal training and experience as a Butler in a luxury, 5 star setting
* Creating stand out, exceptional service for our guests is your obsession; you take huge pride in delivering bespoke experiences
* Your attitude and approach are always fresh; no matter how many times an issue has been presented to you, to your guest it's the first time
* Greet each guest warmly by name, taking time to really listen and understand their individual needs, always exceeding their expectations
* Actively promoting Dun Aluinn, you'll constantly look for opportunities to always enhance the guest experience and encourage guests to come back to Dun Aluinn in the future and to recommend us to their friends and network
* You maintain a high standard of personal presentation through very particular grooming, presenting a professional and organised working environment at all times

* You're a strong team leader with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual with an eagle eye for detail
