We are recruiting an Assistant Psychologist to support our service in carrying out two exciting new projects for patients in Cancer Care. These projects involve assisting a Clinical Psychologist in developing, implementing, and evaluating interventions aimed at reducing the psychological impact of treatment for people with Haematological Malignancy, and at reducing psychological barriers to cancer treatment across all tumour groups. Funding has been secured for 18 months.
We are looking for someone with a higher class undergraduate degree in psychology, which confers Graduate Basis for Registration with the British Psychological Society (or equivalent), and relevant experience in a clinical healthcare setting. Excellent skills in communication and data management are essential. You will work closely with the qualified Practitioner Psychologist to consult the evidence base, liaise with multidisciplinary teams to develop screening and assessment protocols, develop interventions, and evaluate their effectiveness to support bids to expand the psychological workforce on a substantive basis.
