We are now recruiting for a reliable and proactive Yard Person and driver to join the busy team. Further Information: Job Title: Yard Person Location : Based in Belfast the role will involve travel throughout Northern Ireland, Ireland and the UK (valid driving licence and vehicle required) Contract: Full Time, 6 Months fixed-term contract but potential to become permanent. Salary : £ (DOE) Hours of work : Monday - Friday, 0700 - 1530 Job Summary: The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced architecture and property development company with a growing track record of delivering award winning projects. ANGUS PROPERTIES also works as the in-house architecture, construction and property management company for the wider business group including Argento Contemporary Jewellery, Lets Go Padel and the Lets Go Hydro resort. Our primary development area for the next 6 to 12 months is the development of Lets Go Padel, this will involve managing shipments of goods in and out of our yard and on occasion the delivery of goods to sites across Northern Ireland and the border counties. About you: We are recruiting for a reliable and proactive Site Yard Person to join a growing team in our new head office in East Belfast. Ability to learn quickly and take initiative is important. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Preparing orders for collection & delivery and ensuring relevant documentation is completed Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift truck Check goods against delivery notes for accuracy Unload and inspect deliveries, reporting any issues Making sure all goods inwards are checked and put away in the correct location Maintain a clean and organised yard / Site Follow stock handling procedures Responsible for personal and workplace health and safety and observe regulations in relation to the Health and Safety at Work Act. The Person: A good basic education, including literacy and numeracy Proactive, can do attitude Communicates well and works effectively as part of a team Demonstrate attention to detail and accurate completion of paperwork Understands the importance of safety, stock control, and process compliance Forklift licence Trailer licence preferred Approachable and a pleasant team player, communication and organisational skills Ability to multi-task and show initiative Previous experience in a warehouse, yard, or similar hands-on operational role would be desirable. Ideal candidate will be available to start the role immediately if successful in the recruitment and selection stage.
