Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. You will be responsible for implementing care plans, supervising junior staff, and fostering a nurturing environment that promotes independence and dignity for all residents.
Responsibilities
* Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
* Assist in the development and implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
* Supervise and lead a team of care workers, providing guidance and support as necessary.
* Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
* Monitor the health and well-being of residents, reporting any changes or concerns to senior management.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and participate in regular reviews of care plans.
* Engage residents in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment.
Requirements
* Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families.
* Leadership qualities with experience in supervising staff members effectively.
* Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and documentation is advantageous.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when necessary.
* A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £22,700.00-£25,800.00 per year
