Job Description:
The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) team provides real estate transaction expertise, business partnering, space & occupancy planning, capital investment program management, and facility maintenance and operations for Amazon’s corporate office portfolio across multiple countries. We partner with suppliers to ensure quality, innovation, and operational excellence with Amazon’s business and utilize customer-driven feedback to continuously improve and exceed employee expectations.
The Business Operations Manager will work on innovative and high-impact business projects, collaborating with internal partners, industry experts, and strategic vendors to foster innovation and deliver solutions across our campus. This role supports the RE&F Regional Director’s team by enhancing business efficiency and promoting best practices across diverse business lines.
The ideal candidate is experienced, engaging, and thrives in an entrepreneurial culture—providing vision, leadership, and clear communication. They should be approachable yet consultative, capable of offering strategic guidance and fostering transparent relationships. The candidate must balance frugality with creativity, approach problem-solving with a root cause focus, and navigate ambiguity with a bias for action and calculated risk-taking.
Key job responsibilities
1. Establish and own the end-to-end business rhythm, incorporating finance, corporate, and RE&F global activities.
2. Oversee the preparation for, and facilitation of, monthly business review meetings, highlighting financial variances and business performance against key initiatives.
3. Develop and publish quarterly business review presentations.
4. Facilitate monthly leadership team meetings to ensure effective agenda execution.
5. Steward the annual planning process, forums, and commitment establishment.
6. Manage team reporting tools to track progress against regional commitments.
7. Lead cross-team projects to ensure regional and business alignment on key strategic RE&F initiatives.
8. Represent the region with partner groups to drive initiatives and communicate regional needs and expectations.
9. Own and deploy regional programs or initiatives, working with delegated authority or influence, and manage remote teams as needed.
10. Serve as the primary point for vendor performance management, assessment, and feedback.
11. Maintain cross-regional peer connections.
12. Manage department T&E and controllable line items within budget.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Project Management, Finance, or Engineering.
* Significant professional experience in program or project management in real estate, facilities management, or space planning.
* Knowledge of supplier protocols, financial analysis, budget processes, contract administration, procurement principles, and vendor quality criteria.
