Registered Mental Health Nurse – Cambridge (NHS, Contract Role)
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to work within a 24-hour NHS mental health service in Cambridge. This is a contract role offering flexible shifts Monday to Sunday, with competitive pay rates of £27 Ltd (umbrella) for days, and enhanced rates for nights and weekends.
Role Overview:
As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care to patients within a mental health setting. You will be expected to take charge of shifts when required, ensuring smooth operation and adherence to professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Acting as Nurse in Charge on designated shifts, overseeing patient care and supporting the team.
* Conducting assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
* Providing compassionate, person-centred care in accordance with NHS guidelines.
* Administering medication and monitoring patients’ mental and physical well-being.
* Liaising with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, therapists, and social workers.
* Ensuring all documentation and patient records are accurate and up to date.
* Promoting a safe, therapeutic environment for patients.
Requirements:
* Valid NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
* Previous experience working in a mental health setting, preferably within the NHS.
* Ability to manage a caseload and work both independently and as part of a team.
* Experience in a Nurse in Charge role or confidence in taking on leadership responsibilities.
* Strong understanding of professional accountability and clinical governance.
