GSL Education is seeking a committed English Teacher to work in schools across Newcastle, delivering high-quality teaching and supporting students to achieve academic and vocational success.
About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons aligned with the curriculum, supporting learners to develop both subject knowledge and practical understanding. You will play a key role in preparing students for further education, training, or employment within health and social care pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons across relevant key stages
Teach vocational and academic content in line with exam board specifications
Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback
Support students with varying abilities, adapting teaching strategies where required
Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
Work collaboratively with departmental staff and wider school teams
Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies at all times
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
Experience teaching English in a secondary school or college setting
Strong subject knowledge and understanding of curriculum requirements
Confident classroom mFlexible, reliable, and able to adapt to different school environments
