The Operations Quality Engineer supports strategic customer accounts with direct customer interface to drive quality improvement and solve Quality Issues and also supports Quality manufacturing related issues.
General Responsibilities
1. Analyze, solve and control production quality problems on time to meet the customer requirements
2. Coordinate Production Part Approval Process and provide documents to customer
3. In charge of Measurement System Analysis and Statistical Process Control for key processes
4. Ensure a smooth and timely launch of new and changed products
5. Coordinates customer returns and uses Sensata tools to provide frequent status updates to affected customers
6. Establish and follow procedure for control on non-conforming parts in production
7. Handles all aspects of quality and continuous improvement across various customer groups
8. Demonstrate full ownership of product quality by driving all relevant functions towards 100% robustness in meeting specifications/performance requirements
9. Perform risk assessments
10. Set quality goals and improvement plans
11. Review Control Plans and improve as needed
Experience / Qualifications
12. A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
13. Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
14. Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
15. Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
16. Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
17. Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
18. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
19. Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
Essential Criteria
20. 2 + years' experience in a related role
21. Experience of resolving Quality related issues with external stakeholders
22. Proficient in the use of Excel
23. High level of MS Office proficiency
24. Must be available for travel as part of the role
Desirable Criteria
25. Proficient in Quality Analysis Software such as PowerBI, Minitab, etc.
26. Previous experience in Automotive Quality role.
