Job Title: Deputy Manager – Hertfordshire
Location: Hertfordshire
Pay Rate: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
About the Role:
Support the Registered Manager in the daily management of the residential home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards and providing leadership to the care team.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the recruitment, training, and supervision of staff
2. Ensure all care is child-centred and meets statutory requirements
3. Support in inspections and audits
4. Manage rotas, risk assessments, and incident reporting
5. Act as Manager in their absence

Qualifications and Essential Requirements:
11. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards it)
12. Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential childcare
13. Knowledge of relevant legislation (Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards)
14. Strong leadership and organisational skills
15. Enhanced DBS check
