Role Overview:
This hands-on role involves working with automotive engine components, focusing on machining and precision engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, a passion for automotive technology, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
● Cylinder boring and honing
● Cylinder head refacing and pressure testing
● Valve seat cutting
● Measuring and maintaining tolerances to exact specifications
● Operating a range of manual machining equipment types
● Collaborating with the team to troubleshoot and improve processes
● Ensuring high standards of workmanship and meeting project deadlines
Requirements:
● Hands-on experience in a mechanical engineering or machining environment
● Strong understanding of engineering principles, tolerances, and measurements
● Ability to use precision measuring tools accurately
● Willingness to learn and adapt to specific machines and techniques
● Good problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to tasks
Desirable Skills:
● Background performance tuning and engine building to a motorsport standard
● Previous experience with engine components or automotive machining
● Passion for the automotive industry
● Social and communication skills
