About the Role: As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will support the delivery of personalised learning, behaviour management, and social-emotional development. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with students, enabling them to reach their potential in a structured and supportive environment. Responsibilities: Support the implementation of individual learning plans and personalised strategies to meet students’ SEMH needs. Build positive relationships with students, fostering trust, engagement, and confidence. Assist teachers in delivering lessons and activities tailored to students’ abilities and needs. Collaborate with staff and external professionals to ensure consistent support. Monitor and record student progress and behaviour, maintaining accurate documentation. Support students with personal care, hygiene, and social skills as needed. Encourage students to participate fully in school activities, promoting independence. Qualifications: Previous experience supporting students with SEMH or in a similar teaching assistant role is preferred. Understanding of SEMH needs and evidence-based support strategies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of students. Compassionate, patient, and committed to student development and well-being.
