We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Vertical Transportation Engineer to join our team at the Maidenhead office. The role offers flexible working arrangements with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office and flexible start and finish times.
What does the role involve?
Sweco’s team of vertical transportation engineers provide specialist advice on lift and escalator designs for high-profile buildings globally. We are looking for a specialist vertical transportation engineer to develop a long-term career with us in this high-profile discipline.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on prestigious projects in the UK and worldwide, including:
* 2 Finsbury Avenue, London: A large office development working with Danish architects 3XN and Adamson Associates to deliver an innovative lift system.
* One Nine Elms, London: A major twin-tower residential and hotel project on the Vauxhall riverside, working with international architects Kohn Pedersen Fox.
* Google, London: The new Google HQ featuring state-of-the-art design and sustainability features.
To be successful in this role, you should:
* Hold a minimum of HND/HNC/ONC in lift engineering or an equivalent qualification.
* Possess a recognised professional qualification and be a member of relevant professional bodies or working towards it.
* Have several years of UK experience in lift engineering, preferably with experience in sales engineering or building services design.
* Be proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and familiar with DigiPara lift design software; experience with Elevate traffic analysis software is advantageous.
* Be a confident communicator, capable of liaising effectively with clients and team members, and producing clear reports.
