The degree apprenticeship with University Sheffield Hallam is a 3-year course in which you will study part-time alongside your full-time role. You’ll have an initial 10-week bootcamp on campus. You will cover many modules such as Software lifecycle, System Context, Leadership & Design approaches. The degree includes a final stage project in conjunction with Capgemini’s business.
As an apprentice at Capgemini, you’ll kick off on the ‘GetINSPIRED’ programme – a week-long introduction to Capgemini and the Early & Emerging Talent community. During this first week, you will meet inspiring individuals, witness our team dynamics, and explore the stimulating projects that will influence your career.
At Capgemini, we have been running apprenticeships for nearly 15 years and currently have over 1300 of our Early & Emerging Talent community undertaking more than 40 programme streams across the business. Join us as an apprentice and you’ll have a permanent paid role with opportunities to increase your pay year-on-year alongside studying for a degree.
Your Role

Insights and Data (I&D)
* Build secure, scalable data pipelines using modern tools and cloud platforms.
* Create dashboards, automate testing, and support data governance.
* Work on cloud migration, real-time streaming, and analytics solutions.
Custom Software Development (CSD)
* Develop software using popular languages and frameworks.
* Gain experience with cloud, databases, DevOps, and secure coding.
* Collaborate on public sector tech projects with agile teams.
SAP
* Configure and integrate SAP systems to meet business needs.
* Support users, test solutions, and maintain documentation.
* Continuously learn and apply SAP best practices.
Your Profile
To be eligible, you need:
* 7 GCSEs including Maths and English grades 4-9
* Plus, one of the following:
o 3 A*-C at A-level (NOTE: AS Levels are not included)
o Completed Advanced Apprenticeship
o BTEC (Pass, Pass, Distinction minimum)
This role is only available to be based in our office in Telford, West Midlands.
Your Security Clearance
Security Check (SC) Clearance: To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
