The Behaviour Mentor position is essential to the school's pastoral team. At Long Term Futures, we specialise in securing stable, fulfilling, and long-term placements for our candidates. This role offers job security and a strong possibility of transitioning to a permanent position. You will work closely with all teaching staff to cultivate a positive, inclusive, and focused learning environment for every child.
Your Core Responsibilities
* Provide targeted one-to-one and small group support to identified pupils.
* Implement pro-active and successful strategies to assist children with emotional self-regulation.
* Cultivate robust, professional, and respectful relationships with students.
* Utilise de-escalation techniques effectively and maintain a calm approach during challenging incidents.
Essential Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience in supporting children's behaviour within an educational or school setting.
* A comprehensive understanding of different behaviour management and support methodologies.
* The critical skill of remaining composed and stable in demanding situations.
* A mandatory enhanced DBS check, or the immediate willingness to submit an application.
