PROJECT MANAGER - OUTSIDE IR35 - 6 MONTHS
One of Loriens leading Public Sector clients is looking to bring on a highly skilled Project Manager from October through to the end of March 2026.
This role is hybrid working out of Glasgow - candidates must be available to work in Glasgow 2-3 days a week.
The assignment will be responsible for managing a number of ICT Projects, across multiple suppliers, these projects are critical to the ongoing delivery of role will oversee a portfolio of projects and deal with escalations and ensure the third party is meeting its obligations.
1. Ensuring there is a coherent fully resourced project structure in place to support delivery of the project and logical plans for implementation.
2. Managing resources and the plan to make sure the projects are delivering on schedule.
3. Removing barriers to project delivery.
4. Managing and reporting on project progress against plan to the PMO and relevant Project Boards.
5. Managing, communicating and co-ordinating risks and issues arising with project delivery, escalating to the appropriate Boards when necessary.
6. Managing and reporting on project finances where relevant.
7. Managing relationships with key business stakeholders.
8. Managing suppliers to deliver technology required to support the project.
9. Supporting project communication.
10. Facilitating changes to processes and procedures.
11. Providing effective transition support.
Essential skills
12. Highly skilled in project management
13. Experience of delivery significant portfolios of projects.
14. Significant experience in a commercial environment.
15. Skilled at working collaboratively in a complex environment and driving performance achievement and improvements.
16. Ability to organise and control operational delivery of projects or initiatives including deployment and planning of resources.
17. Project Management Methodologies.
18. Significant project reporting experience
19. Extensive experience of MS Project plans
20. Skilled in managing complex relationships at a senior level.
21. Ability to take a proactive and collaborative approach to working within a complex and changing environment, influencing and working alongside a range of diverse stakeholders and external service providers.
