Hays is recruiting for a dynamicpanymitted to delivering excellence in the logistics industry. As part of a transformation, they are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Credit Controller to their finance team ASAP in Shepton Mallet.
As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing thepany's credit and collections processes. You will be responsible for maintaining healthy cash flow, minimising credit risk, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments
Your new role
Job duties include but not limited to...
1. Credit Checks - Evaluating the creditworthiness of new and existing customers by analysing financial information, credit reports, and payment history.
2. Setting of Credit Limits - Setting appropriate credit limits for customers, taking into account their financial status, payment history, and market conditions.
3. Invoicing and Statements - Generating and sending out of accurate and timely invoices to customers. Reconcile customer accounts and send periodic statements.
4. Collections - Proactively manage the collection process, including regular follow-up on overdue accounts, negotiation of payment terms, and resolution of payment discrepancies.
5. Ensuring adherence to thepany's credit policies and procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
6. Proven experience as a Credit Controller managing multiple ledgers
7. Strong understanding of credit risk management principles.
8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Effectivemunication and negotiation skills.
10. Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office applications.
11. Available at SHORT NOTICE.
